Some news just deserves to be shared far and wide — and this is one of those moments.
Last month, one of the venues in our retail portfolio – Marine Bar Whitehead headed to the prestigious LCN Awards at the Europa Hotel, and what an evening it turned out to be. The team walked in hopeful and walked out with not one, but two pieces of recognition to bring home.
Marine Bar was named a Finalist in the Live Music Venue of the Year category — a feat in itself, given the calibre of venues across the country competing for that title. To stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the best live music venues on the circuit is something the whole team, and our extended family of regulars, can be deeply proud of.
But the night held one more surprise. Marine Bar was awarded the Highly Commended title for Community Pub of the Year — an accolade that means the world to a venue built around its people. A pub is only as good as the welcome inside its door, and this recognition is a tribute to every conversation, every gig, every cold pull poured on a busy Saturday afternoon.
Behind every award is a team that gives it their all — and Marine Bar’s team is second to none. From front-of-house to the sound desk, from the kitchen to the door staff, every member plays a part in the magic. Congratulations to each of you.

So when one branch of the family celebrates, we all celebrate together.
